Actually, in the analog era, record labels, sending copies of tapes to radio stations, often cut them into compositions. However, the great and terrible Shazam identified on the radio tape a few things from Blue Moods with Charles Mingus and something that was included in the Blue Note series “Miles Davis Volume 1-2-3” – everything was recorded at Van Gelder Studio in the town of Hackensack. Listening with delight, I could not get rid of the phrase Charles Mingus read earlier about working with Rudi on Hackensack: “Yes, he just destroys the sound of my double bass, I will never come to him!” I was looking for the Mingus record from RVG, but I had to look for “ Blue Moods “Miles …
